Welcome to Chicago's very own Mother Jones Food Pantry. We have been serving the West Pullman area, Roseland and the Cook County community since August 5, 2007. Our organization is Chicago's finest. We do not require that you belong to any particular affiliation or possess any previous memberships to join our organization. We do ask that you support our organization through regular participation in activities.

Our Mission

Mother Jones Food Pantry is a 501(c) 3 charitable organization. We, at M.J.F.P., opened our doors August 22, 2008 and every since then, we have had many obstacles in our way to the effect that we have to close our doors. It cost $1,050.00 to feed 100 families in our community and the number is growing. The truck driver that delivers the food wants $125.00 once a week. We are trying to reach hungry Chicagoans in Cook County. M.J.G.P. is looking for wonderful people, like you, to be a part of feeding hungry people. We are a small church reaching out to bring a big change to the community, one life at a time. This is your time to save a life. I received news that there are elderly people eating cat and dog food to stay alive. You can change that in an instance. God has blessed you to bless others.

We are always looking for donors. Give us a call anytime, or just stop by.
Our doors are always open.

These are our clients that come for food  as you see, the line looks like this  between 9:00am-9:30am even though our pantry does not open until 10:00am. So you can just imagine what these people are going through to be standing in line this way.

Look as your fellow Chicagoans wait in line to feed their families. Some of them told me that they did not know where their next meal would come from.
